Feb.12-15, 2002 (Tue-Fri)

Entrance examinations of Gakushuin Univ. were held at the Mejiro Campus. I felt it strange that appricants were in the same buildings as us, since such situation was not seen in Komaba.

Jan.28-30, 2002 (Mon-Wed)

ConCOM2002 (International Workshop on Control of Conducting Mechanism in Organic Conductors) was held at Shonan Village Center. I read a paper titled "Conduction Properties of Ion-Radical Salt Composed of pi-Conjugated Donor-Radical Molecules". Since there has been no impressive result, I managed to make it.

Jan.1, 2002 (Tue)

I had new year time alone at home for the first time among 32 cases. I was at Shibuya last year, and at Sugawara's Lab. at the former year. It will be the first and last case.

Dec.29, 2001 (Sat)

I became 31 years old. As seen in the population graph, my family members, especially mother and sister, belong to peak population. It may be a reason why getting job is difficult. However, decrease of freshman population doesn't mean release of the problem.

Dec.3, 2001 (Mon)

Today is the deadline of the apprication for Annual Meetings of Chemical Soceity of Japan. But I knew it p.m.8:00 of today....It hasn't appear in "Kagaku to Kogyo" No.11. What shall I do ?

Nov.2-5, 2001 (Fri-Mon)

University Festival was held. There are as much as 4 days while that of Komaba was almost 48 hours. Students here may have great toughness, or they took rest at night ?

TV has come to my room again after about 12 years of absence. I felt as if the inside of TV was a world of 10 years ago.

I visited Philippines again. This is the 6th time for me to go abroad (USA * 1, Korea * 2, Philippines * 3). My departure from Narita was again hit by a typhoon, and it was under a storm zone. Two departures both met only two typhoons which came to Japan. Very high probability. As a result (?), I have no information about the affect of the typhoons.
Furthermore, it took a little moment to understand the situation when I came back to Narita airport. I had no correct information about the terrorism in USA at that time. Serious atmosphere at arrival, only few passengers.... It was just after the arrival of the first plane from USA since the terrorism, I found that later. The situation is similar to the case of the Hanshin earthquake (1995). I recognized the Hanshin earthquake at Seoul in Korea, and I couldn't follow the fact. How can I catch up news at foreign places ?

Aug.22-28, 2001 (Wed-Tue)

An escape abroad since 1998 February. I visited Philippines, around Manila and Tagbilaran in Bohol island in Visaya region (->map). Although my departure on the 22nd morning was under strong wind and rain by the 11st typhoon, it was performed as usual. At Manila, it rained much more heavyly (maybe ca. 120 mm/h), but cars are going as usual through a river-like road.

Aug.8, 2001 (Wed)

I had been in the Inter-University Semenar House at Hachioji from Jul.30 (Mon) to Aug.3 (Fri) for the lodging seminar of Takahashi's lab. They say that this seminar was symbolized by "". Details are difficult to explain shortly.
Today, the access counter became 80. The pace (80 hits by 82 days) is about one third of the best days. Without research result, nothing to write....

Jul.7, 2001 (Sat)

An alumni meeting of Sugawara's Lab. was held to memorize its 15th anniversary. Even though I met some of them after very long time, I hadn't felt the gap. My time sense has changed ? Or because two or three years are short compared with 6.5 years ? Today, the entrance examination to graduate school has finished at Takahashi's Lab. A happy party should be held simultaneously, surely....(with expectation).

The 1st ending symposium of quantum effects and related phenomena by CREST/JST was held. It's somewhat strange that "first" and "ending" are written simultaneously.... A research project seems to proceed very long after the ending.

Page design has been renewed and named as "JOTARO on the WEB". At same time started an access counter, which do not increase number by continuous reload attack as seen in this one.
